Disqualifying Medical Conditions
Patients may not be suitable candidates if they are pregnant, have active skin infections, open wounds, severe irritation, recent sunburn, or uncontrolled skin conditions in the treatment area. Patients taking photosensitizing medications, using Accutane, or with a history of abnormal scarring should consult with the provider before treatment.
How should patients prepare for this treatment?
Patients should avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, self-tanner, harsh exfoliants, retinol, and strong active skincare products for several days before treatment. Arrive with clean skin and avoid applying makeup, oils, or heavy creams on the treatment area.
